that's not a bad idea. You should consider doing that.

I dont trust the GM rod bolts either, upgrade them to ARP. As for sleeve work, i think its funny that everyone laughed at me when i said the factory sleeves are shitty... now look at the boat everyone is in. People laughed at me when i said i was buying darton sleeves... I got my machine work done for 600 and it cost me 40 bucks a piece to press them in. Thats quite the process from what i understand. they machine the block and then heat it up to expand it. they cool the sleeves to shrink them and they set them in and leave them in a press for like 48hours. once the block cools back down and contracts, the sleeves expand as they heat back up and they hold tight against one another. then they take it out of the press and deck the block, hone it and mate the head. I dunno what the OP has for cooling mods but id highly reccomend going all out with cooling.

And I have a stupid ls1 camaro to pay a visit to when things are done. Luckily the ported head, valve springs, and smaller pulley will come into play and really help me out there. I am actually getting ready to go fine tune this car, even though it's irrelevant. I got my car back yesterday, new 80lb injectors are going in wednesday but I still wanna go tune it haha. So I am off to go get my fuel trims dialed in to +/- .05 lol

Yeah, that is probably a good idea since we could probably go on for hours arguing back and fourth.

I sorry for starting troubles.

Hell I hate most of the Air Force and I'm in it. Seriously had a Security Forces guy yesterday tells me he goes "outside the wire, but not outside the wire wire." Then asked me if I went "outside the wire wire?" There's only one ******* "wire!"

Nope, the terrorists just emplace IED's on base now....FAIL

If I do the diamond piston's, cometic gasket, arp head studs, What type of gain hp wise could i gain?

Instead of buying a new head could i just port and polish it?

Zero gains by putting pistons, a gasket and studs in.

Yes, you could just port and polish your oem head

The gain from the pistons, gasket, and headstuds is that you can push the engine harder without it breaking as easily. Other than that, just swapping them without adding more boost or timing will not really net you gains. That is if your stock setup is still has good compression etc.

death - if you were asking me if I went with a return style fuel system, TODAY that is not on the car. Tomorrow it won't be either lol, but let's just say....I am helping to bring the cobalt community something really nice for our fuel systems. I'm not going to comment on it any more then that for another week or so though. Hopefully sometime next weekend I will be able to show more, pics, videos, etc. What I can say however is that I will be running 80lbers with an extremely smooth idle, fuel trims dialed in to +/- 0.05 on ltft's and +/- 1 on stft's. I always have more trouble on stft's then ltft's for some reason, I guess I have a harder time hitting some cells. I need to work on my "pulsing" the gas pedal technique lol.

I usually am not to secretive but out of respect for vendors I am going to keep this silent. Minus you death, minus you 2k5, minus you raliartist, minus you bryan, brian, paul, witt, haha nah im just kidding I won't be going into any detail until I know it's safe to =P.

Hope that answers your question death =D. What are your plans for your fueling system? 80lbers?

My favorite is the "hurry up and wait" mentality. We're always in a rush to get things done, but there's never a time when things are lined up right. I guess that's why we sail..., no red lights or stop signs to obey.

You speak the truth. Except we do our sailing in the sky. Well...not me as I am a ground pounder for the most part attached to the Army. They are even worse off than us at that!

We play around with marines as well. they are the best at following orders to the tee..., regardless of what it is, or how stupid it sounds.

Contributions are what we need to progress..., that and an open mind to new concepts. I look forward to what you have coming up. Right now, I am going to be using a return-style system. I just have to decide if I'm going to stay with the 60's or move up to the 79's I have sitting in my house.
