recommended supporting mods for 2.7 or 2.6 pulley
i have a 2.8 pulley looking to swap down to 2.7 prolly 2.6. i have intake, 60lb injectors, corsa cat back exhaust. what else would i need to be more reliable with these smaller pulleys????

Dual pass w/ opt. B, meth, bigger H/E...
A lot of people make more power with the 2.8 setup.
I can't believe you're not even running an aftermarket H/E now...

dual pass, meth, extra bigger heat exchanger and yea i cant beleive u dont have alteast a dual pass or h.e with a 2.8 lol i bet ur heatsoaking huh i have a 2.8 and have dual pass and cobra h.e for now and wanting to get meth. but atleast get those cooling mods before u lower ur pulley size

no kr or heat soak problems so far been running this setup a year now. i run pretty rich though i had a buddy tune my stuff a year ago. i was wondering if i need a header or something else? so just the dual pass deal or a whole heat exchanger/ mean bigger core in the front of the car??? thanks for the replys so far guys!

does meth spray into the supercharger?? hurt the coating on the rotors?? i use to have a grand prix gtp and everyone complained about it hurting the supercharger rotors.

There are plenty of threads about going below a 2.8 pulley.
This is straight from EATON...........
Reducing the size of the pulley increases both response time and maximum RPM of the supercharger. The stock pulley sets the M-62 blower at maximum efficiency and reducing pulley sizes does reduce efficiency. Porting the supercharger and using supporting heat-reduction modifications can help negate these negative effects of increasing boost by using the smaller pulley. While they do help reduce the negative effects of increased IAT's, these supporting modifications can only help so much. The increased IAT's produced by using any smaller than a 2.8" pulley will most likely not be able to be reversed by these supporting modifications. It is not recommended to run pulleys smaller than 2.8”; however, all cooling modifications with methanol injection may make it possible to see benefits from a 2.7” pulley. 2.5” and 2.6” pulleys bring the supercharger way past its maximum RPM range and will significantly reduce the life of the supercharger. Keep that in mind.

13.6 @ 108 mph with stage II, intake, and exhaust only. On the stock tires. A 2.8 is as small as you want to go. With meth, H/E, dual pass, and the correct little tricks you should be able to go high 12s.

OWNED! Nice post. I don't give a flying **** if someone says I don't know what I'm talking about. I ran a 14.2 @ 100mph stock. The only cobalt member in a stock SS/SC to hit 100mph in the 1/4th mile. I have the slips to prove it, and I'm on the list for fastest stock SS/SC. Then I went and ran mid 13s with stage II pulley. Damn little kids on this site telling me I don't know what I'm talking about when my custom built Syclone can put down x4 wheel horse power then a cobalt. Check my join dates children.
The fastest times and hp have been done on the small pulleys with good tunes most without any cooling mods whatsoever. I'm not saying cooling mods are useless(although I do feel they are very overrated on this site) I'm just saying with a good tuner 2.7>2.8

What do 1/4 mile times and joined date have to do with what you know?
The fastest times and hp have been done on the small pulleys with good tunes most without any cooling mods whatsoever. I'm not saying cooling mods are useless(although I do feel they are very overrated on this site) I'm just saying with a good tuner 2.7>2.8

i heard of a certain 2.85 car running high 12's (now mid 12's) on a 2.85. hell i think it even trapped 113 once
