Reduced Engine Power..Please help!

Ok so around May my car popped reduced engine power one morning after heavy rain the prior night. after clearing the codes and starting it back up it was fine until i went to accelerate and it came right back up again. it lasted a few days and there was no rain over the next few days. i ended up cleaning all my sensors and disconnecting the battery.. after that, all was well and figured it was a dirty sensor. Well, it started back up again last week after an entire weekend of rain. i also didnt start it up or move it the whole weekend. i am not sure if the rain is connected to the issue but it has been a week now and i still cant drive it. even after days of no rain the issue persists. Here are the things i have done to try and solve it myself after researching the forums:

Codes: P0068 + P2228

Replaced air filter
Replaced maf sensor
Replaced map sensor
Replaced Baro Press sensor
Replaced Throttle body and gasket
Replaced Emiss Fuse
Checked for leaks on vacuum lines
Checked for holes on intake

I dont know what else to do. everyone else that has had this problem were able to fix it by doing one of the things ive already done. any help would be great, thanks!

When a sensor gets wet, any mild load will cause it to read maxed out. Def seems related to the rain.

Are you tuned? What are your mods? It really sounds like the baro sensor is the root of the problem, but the fact that you replaced it is kind of throwing me off.

Also this:

It must really be pouring though!

Try removing the baro sensor from the car, letting it dry somewhere or hit it lightly with a hair dryer, then reinstall.

yes im tuned, mods are cold air intake, front mount heat exchanger, dual-pass, header, 60lb injectors, 3.0 pulley..thats about it besides mounts and suspension.

I havent done anything new to the car in like 2 years, why would this just start now? makes me think its not mod related

the thing with the baro is i just took the new one out of the box today and put it right on.. no rain today. still having the issue. this might be a stupid question.. i know the baro reads outside pressure but is the nipple on the bottom supposed to have anything connected to it? when i took the old one off there was nothing connected on the bottom... that piece looks like there should be a hose attached or something...

Yes it is supposed to just "hang there".

Alright, just wanted to see if any of your mods could have had anything to do with it, like your cold air intake.

If you say you've had these mods for two years and this is the first time something like this happens then yes I agree to rule them out.

Anyway, the baro isn't even part of the intake.

Heres a question.. did you clear the code before cranking the car up with the new sensor? Even if its fixed, if the PCM still has the code in memory then it will have to be cleared manually.

Ok so its definitely not getting the expected output from the sensor, and the part is brand new..

Is the connector clean? Could the wires leading up to the connector be damaged? Its all about voltage, and if its not seeing what it wants it will throw the code whether its the wiring or the sensor itself.

I guess the gasket around the fuel pump cracks and leaks fuel. I was getting a really strong fuel smell from mine.

isnt the TB sensor the big piece attached to the TB that the wire goes into?

I just had a turbo LSJ leave over the weekend and it was pouring like mad out, he had a similar issue and somehow absorbed some water. Any moderate load and the car freaked out, the MAF was getting wet. He didn't even have a CAI either.

Is the filter on your CAI?? Ive seen numerous people come and the filter was in the fender well. That will make it a lot easier to get the MAF wet!

Well if the TB sensor is in that casing attached to the TB itself then i dont think that is the issue since i replaced the TB. it comes with that big piece attached so wouldnt that mean the sensor was replaced as well?

yeah air filter is def attached. it did this with the old air filter and when i took it apart the air filter was still attached. i then replaced the MAF and air filter at the same time and put it back together..still had these issues

im not gettting a code but im only making 180 hp :-( my baro has a little piece of open cell foam covering the lower nipple, im thinking my problem could be a bad cat or its clogged, could this be the problem for you too maybe?
