Removing Bottom Belt Tensioner Bolt

ok so my problems continue with this ******* tensioner. from frustration i fucked the tensioner pulley which made me sort of happy because im sick of this stripped tensioner! buying a new tensioner, went to take the stocker off today and cant get to the bottom bolt which is a tight clearance from the engine bay sidewall. anyone have a good alerrnative to getting to the little sucker? i know itll be simple once i get a wrench on it but i need a good way to get a wrench in there. thanks

I have absolutely no problem getting to it, but my hands are smaller than most peoples. Get a buddy with small hands... I had no problem getting a wrench on it.

I believe I used a 13mm.. 1/2 is just baaaarely smaller than a 13mm so if a 1/2" fits it, then use that.

Isn't this the bolts that you can get to with an extension through a notch in the frame?

No. but there is a little hole in the frame rail that you can get a socket and extension through.. you might have to raise (or lower, i don't remember) the engine but it will allow easy access.

P.S.!!!!! Make sure you use a magnet or something. The bolt very well could drop into the frame!!!!!!!!!! You have been warned.

yeahhh. but if the engien has to come down, then you'll have to take out the 3 bolts in the left engine mount. BUT MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A JACK UNDER THE ENGINE WHEN YOU TAKE THEM OUT.
