Removing resonator?

I was observing how our stock exhaust has a pretty loud tone to it earlier today. Which made me think, has anybody removed the resonator from their stock exhaust and straight piped it? If so I am just curious as to how it sounds.

Note: I am not doing this, just curious.

Thumbs up

Well you herd mine with no resonator 3" pipe thoe s

on stock exhaust youd prob have a more noticable sound to exhaust note w/ some more pops while in gear and not on gas! prob 3 hp gain more sound than anything that muffler is robbing you of hp its like 4 ft long

well, I noticed that the GMPP exhaust had 2 resonators rather than one and a muffler. If you removed the muffler and replaced it with a resonator it would most likely have a deeper tone....its something to be examined..
