like the title says I have 06 ss/sc 2k and only hit 10psi

 

Kinda low..Weather may be a factor have you ever hit higher?? 2K mean the amount of miles you have?? Otherwise I might say that she hasn't fully broken in yet to allow for the full boost..Not too sure though

 

Or you could have a slightly off gauge? After braken in your car around maybe like 3/4k take it to the deadler to explain to then your situation.

 

Like said above, maybe its not broken in yet. you should be seeing 12.5 psi stock.

 

either your gauge is off or something is not right, I was hitting 12.5 with no problems.

On the stock pulley it is hard to pull the 12.5 out it seems, you have to be near the upper rpms to see it. I had the same problem at first PSI freak, I thought I wasn't hitting 12.5, but I got somebody to watch the gauge for me and I was.

Mine opened up at 1035mi, but also coincidentally after my first hard launch and couple races from a dig.

 

get her up to 5k rpms at WOT in third. You'll hit the 12's.

 

That's what you've gotta do... in 2nd it is hard to actually see max stock boost... you'll have to be in 3rd on the freeway or something... just lay on her... it'll get up there. You'll have to be at 5000 or so for those last few PSI to show.

Stage 2 is the same way... we'll jump up to 12-13 pretty fast... but to get the full 15 you need to wind out 3rd...

 

Give it time it happend to me too. You'll get it.

 

Mine stock/new went right to 12.5 when I reved her up.Each car is different. Give her a month...

 

i thought u didnt hit full boost till 4k

 

Both of mine only registered 10psi stock, and they were slower than they should have been.

 

I wasnt able to see full boost until around 3,000 miles.

Like it was said above, hit about 5 grand in third gear and then look at the guage.
Make sure you maintain full throttle pressure when doing it.

Meaning, dont take your foot off the gas and then put it back down.

 

i hit 10psi in first gear then after that 13. idk

 

my 2007 is doing the same thing, only 10lbs of boost... but i only have 200 miles on it

 

im getting the full 12.5 i only have 3800 miles on my 07

 

what is your altitude? that is a major factor. i only saw 10psi (maybe less) at an elevation of 6,000ft while i was stock. you should see full boost in 1st and 2nd if you are keeping a sharp eye on the gauge. otherwise, do as other's have said and let 'er rip in 3rd.

 

You just have to wind her out! WHen I was stock and put on my K&N I went from 12.5 to almost 14 and then sometimes I hit 14.5-15 when it was like 2 degree's in the morning here! So it's prolly okay you just aren't pushing her hard enough to get full boost!

NO.....if the cat is clogged then the gases cannot escape and pressure builds, in other words, he'd be seeing more boost than he should.

 

if your getting 80kpa your not even in boost, 105 is atmosphere, 12psi would be closer to 190kpa

 

ya same with mine ...im at 3,000 km's and only boosting 10 psi well close to 11.. (80 kpa)

btw dude maybe u should check sum conversion scales or something....190kpa is like 27.56 psi LOL that would b freaken amazing if that was true lol if it was then wow these cobalts do more than the ones hahahah
