Canada Right Price For Stage 2?

Hey guys I've been driving an MR2 Turbo for the last few years and I got sick of heat soak and blown head gaskets and I just picked up a 2005 SS with 35,xxx KM on her. I want a bit more power from her so I just went down to the dealership to get a quote on GMPP Sport Exhaust and Stage 2 upgrade and I was wondering if the price they quoted me is correct.

Exhaust $457.95 CAD
Stage 2 $809.65 CAD
Install about $150.00 CAD
For a grand total of $1417.60 CAD

I was wondering if this is about what everyone else picked it up for. The kid a the dealership said he was "giving me a deal". Thanks for the feedback.

On a side note: Right now the car is 100% stock, is it a better idea to throw 91 octane in her even though they say it can run just fine on 87?

Where abouts are you in alberta? That may help us in our decision. 809 I think is expensive for the stage 2 tough. the exhaust seems al right. I was just looking at your install cost and that is very low for both stage 2 and exhaust install. So I guess that the whole package is good.

I'm from Edmonton but I'm going to school in Lethbridge. The dealer in Lethbridge quoted me $809.65 but the quote he gave me says it normally retails for $952.50

That sounds about right for the states. I would just order it from the states then have it installed.

You can get better deals at crateengine.com. The stage 2 kit is $550, and the exhaust price is $357. Check them out first before you make your final decision.

CED has the stage 2 for $550 like some one said above, but sometimes you can find it on ebay for under $500 and it is from a dealer that puts stuff for cheap on ebay and is reputable. As far as octane, it is not recommended you go below 91. Just because it is said that you can, doesn't mean that you should. I would stick to 91 and higher.
