Rotor Direction?

I just purchased Slotted/Cross Drilled rotors online and had them installed at my dealership. It looks as if the front 2 rotors are spinning the wrong direction/swapped. Will this affect stopping distance/brake bite? Are certain rotors assimetric? Thanks in advance.

the "slots" dissipate heat away from the rotors and brakes. if they're backwards, they'll be pushing the heat the wrong way which = defeating the whole point, and heating things up.

Yep, for sure. Pics will be up in a couple minutes im just gonna shoot this post out real quick to let you guys know. I just ran out to shoot pics, cars a bit dirty, sorry about that. Just made a 60 mile treck back home country road... bugs... pete dirt... bad news... Just did the rotors and the new tires BFG Gforce Sports 235/40/ZR18's baby, wider is better. 235's all around are just as wide as the rears on my Camaro, just figured that out yesterday... pretty nuts. Anyways, thanks for the input and do you think the front two rotors suposedly spinning backwards does much harm to brake bite?

as the slots hit the brake pad, they should start on the outer diameter and curve inward towards the center for more grabbing power

WRONG, they should spin opposite (backwards) fron inside hub to outermost part of rotor to dissipate heat, not for stopping grip.

this is not correct. you have it backwards. curcing inwards is adding heat, which is against the whole reason of having slotted rotors

mine came labeled from GM L and R
they start from the inside hub and go outward towards the rear of the car
that is how the last 3 sets of slotted rotors hhave been on all my cars

similar concept as directional tires

As you can see the front rotors are, in my mind spinning backwards, itll be on a lift today.

Theyre on photobucket.com links are as follow, one link should allow you to see all but im gonna post all links anyway just in case.

I'd like to add...

Slots aside, the most important aspect of the directional orientation is the inner cooling fins. They draw air from the inside of the rotor and direct it outwards. You'll note that left and right are mirror image in respect to cooling fin orientation. When swapped, the brakes will suffer from poor cooling.

from what I see, they look backwards. I didn't think that was possible, but I guess there is a way...

You just need to swap the front rotors. Put left on right and right on left.

rotors are so easy to install...im disappointed that you paid someone to do such simple work! thats like paying someone to swap out your brake pads.

Are those the ebay ones? I plan on getting those once my business takes off in a month or two.
