i have pretty much decided that i am going with a straight through magnaflow muffler...now the question is: should i get an oval shape or a round one? do they really make a difference in sound? i want a deep, throaty idle, beefy in the higher rpms, and possible backfire if i could get it as well ... im planning on keeping my stock 2.5 pipes so what model of the universal magnaflows should i get? thx guys

Magnaflow mufflers do a much better job with resonating the tone of the exhaust system as far as the oval ones are concerned.

 

Yup, i have a 3" Magnaflow muffler, oval shaped and it sounds bad ass. Everyone that has been around my car think it has one of the best exhaust sound they have heard. Oval all the way, plus it looks good. Doesnt say RICE.
