RPM Limits

Fuel --> Cutoff, DFCO --> Misc. --> Lamp RPM
Default value is 6500. It does nothing though.
What I'm questioning though is whether HPT mapped it correctly. Obviously they're showing a realisitc value since default cutoff is 6500, but maybe there is some multiplier they didn't map that makes whatever value you put in that table pretty much meaningless.

What is the best to shift on th stock rpm to stay in ur power band and not lose it ? im curious as to see whats the best times to shift on where u have ur rev limmter sit like say 6500 an 7200... is there a way to get a more constant powerband/shift on the drag strip ?

Hi guys,
I can't really find anything through search (although I'm sure this has been answered) about the maximum RPM limits. I know the GM stage 2, and 3 raise the RPM limits of the car, and I want to do that to my own.
I have HP Tuners and have done some minor things with it, just nothing too outstanding as of yet.
I also have 2.8" pulley, and 60s with cooling mods going in over winter / spring.
Anyway, my question is, what would be considered a "safe" RPM limit for the car? I realize this is more of a qualitative answer than quantitative, but it would be nice to know.
Also, with valve springs, how high could I bump it up to?
Thanks CSS!!
