Running Lean up top with E85

when i tuned for E85 my AFR's were 11.5-11.8 and it pulled like a champ!

so i call my buddy last night and see if he wants to race (MS3-meth injection, intake, gutted downpipe and some other stuff, est WHP 330 or so) and i put 2 cars on him..i figured id beat him more then that.. and my buddy behind me in a SS/TC with bolt ons and tune on 93 races me and we were dead even pretty much.. i know thats not right! so i looked at my AFR's and its in the low 14's

so im thinkng i need a fuel pump

mods: TVS 2.9 80lb injectors full exhaust OTTP H/E option B exhaust and intake

Walbro Fuel Pump - Over The Top Performance

would i need this too??

OTTP Fuel Pump Rewire Kit - Over The Top Performance

If your car is indeed an 05, you most likely will need the fuel pump. How you are still on stock fuel system is beyond me, though.

Even with a new fuel pump w/ 80# injectors, I still didn't have enough fuel with E85. Had to get the ZZP fuel kit.

You can get a GSS-342 pump cheaper than OTTP sells them for

Yeah, thats it. I drove to Summit and bought mine since I needed it that same day, and it's not a far drive.

Mine didn't come with the pigtail, though. Did mine the hard way, if that indeed comes with the pigtail, I would go with that. $75 is about the right price retail.

Naw. But it sure does help. With the return style fuel system u will no longer be starving your #4 cylinder and ur idc is pretty much cut in half which basically allows you to run e85

You mentioned you are only running E on race days. Are you switching tunes when you switch fuels? Tuning for 11.8 on E is going to net a very different result when run on 93...

I see ZZP offers a $100 upgrade for a "real" adjustable regulator.

I have their standard regulator, which they state you shouldn't adjust, but I did anyway. Works fine, up to ~80+ psi.

Your call on what to get get.

Or for ~$275 he can have everything he needs to accomplish the same exact thing. You don't need a fuel pump re-wire.

Not trying to tell you how to spend your money, but I can tell you what works.

According to ZZP's site, you can get a fuelab regulator with it now, So for $400 you can get their system with that reg and a walbro with fuel pump rewire or for $15 more you can get some braided lines and fittings that look alot nicer and don't get rid of your evap system. They seem to be the exact same thing, minus about $100 in fittings and hose.....
