Just contact Nate (nherbst). His website is www.smoothflowpulleys.com and buy at 2.9" polished pulley from him. The run like 50 bucks I believe. I am assuming you have gm stage 2 so you have the gm hub? The stage 3 pulley is 2.99" and is like 80-100 bucks new from crateenginedepot.com. Tons of people run a 2.9" with the gm stage 2 tune.

Yeah it will be fine. I have been running a 2.9" for a while now. I do have a cobra h/e too to help to keep it a little cooler. Just don't do back to back hard runs and you will be fine.

I have nates 2.85 had it on my car for about a year and a half... his pullies are VERY high quality!

And yes the 2.9 is safe to run on the Stg. 2 tune, but getting tuned will really open your car to a whole new level!

Yes you can get a pulley and hub set... but if you already have stage 2 just buy a pulley for the Stage 2 hub!

I did run the 2.85 on the stg. 2 tune for a little while before I got it tuned, and it was pushing the limits! But it's a 2.85 not 2.80" (which is what I will be running here shortly)

Has anyone installed their own pulley and hub? I am just going to build my own stg kit and was curious as to how to get the stock hub and pulley off. I know they have the tools for like $100 but is there anohter way to do it?

And you can run the 2.8 on a stg 2 tune, many of my buds have it that way now. You should be fine. And as said before if you tune it you will get more power and all. Nate's pulley's are Very good and have heard good things about them also.

There is no "stock" hub, the stock pulley is a steel one piece press on pulley. The stage 2 kit includes a hub and a bolt on pulley. If you don't go with the stage 2 and want to make your own kit (injectors and a custom tune), I know a guy who can make you a complete pulley system with a stainless steel hub and billet aluminum pulley
