s256 .70 ar hitting firewall

s256 .70 ar hitting firewall

bolted on my s256 today with the .70 ar housing and the compressor cover hits the firewall is this normal?

Is it hitting the fire wall or just the pad on the firewall. Haven't have any complaints on this.

only thing i can think of is that the .70ar is much bigger, making the turbo sit farther back

Yea, the .70 kicks the turbo out toward the firewall more. It's close but doesn't hit. My 62 never hit when my car was a stick. The non ext 256 has almost the same diameter cover as my 62 and your 56. Did you say CED, no, oh I thought I heard you say something about CED and ridiculous burnouts (that we will be doing). Sorry just getting a little excited.

OP, is there a reason that you wanted to run the .70 instead of the .55?

my 62 .70 never hit either. that was on the zzp manifold. the only time a turbo hit the fire wall was the FP3076, and it had a .70a/r compressor and a .63 turbine. idk what manifold but it was out way further than the BEP turbo's sit. i've never heard of anyone running into issues either when using the zzp manifold.
