Safe set of rubbers??

ha figured maybe the title would help get some attention to the thread for some answers. Need tires asap. Is this a pretty decent set of tires? pros and cons if anyone knows any? I know it may not be the correct size, i just know it's the right tire.

umm.. well i guess mainly just daily driving. I will be driving in the winter here, but very minimal amounts of driving. At worst to work and thats less than a mile. Mostly just looking for performance and to help support the stage 2 along with an exhaust setup hopefully soon. Just lookin for some decent grab and go. Right now i'm breakin lose at 40 mph on my pos tires

man i should have actually read your thread lol

I had those exact tires on my civic.. mind you it was the 14" ones... they are great great tires for the price/all season...

I had winters, so I never drove in the snow so I can't tell you how they will do in the snow.. rain they are great, quiet, comfi and they handle great "they handle better than the conti sport contact 2 on my tc"

I've read some good reviews for the Parelli (SP?) P-Zero Nero tires. They are decently priced and supposed to even be decent in light snow.

thanks man. i wasn't actually planning on getting the tires from that site, just wanted to have the site there for reference to what the tires were. I'm actually getting them through my brother in laws buddy. Employee discount, tax free, and free install. usually saves me a bit more than cost. not an amazing savings, but i can't complain.

BUMP FOR BEING IN THE WRONG FORUM HAHA.

aren't they quite a bit more? I'm not too too worried about winter cause i'm going to be doing minimal to no driving in it.

235 is too wide for our stock SC rims. it will mount on and drive without rubbing but the contact patch and side wall flex is no good

225 is the recommended maximum width for 7" rims

i'm sure it will mount on just fine but is not recommended

i have yet to see a 245/40 tire that is recommended by the manufacturer to be mounted on 7" rims.

and to OP, those 235/40 falkens are approved to be mounted on 8.0 - 9.5" rims according to the tire specs

Hankook Ventus V12 EVO

I think those Falken tires will be a little hard...

You're not going to find a great performance tire that will also go in snow and last a while...

toyo proxes 4 on my ss/sc where great tires, I had 235/40r18s on stock ss/sc rim

the proxes faired well here in Indiana winters, and tread wear was very decent for a low profile tire.
I would say prolly expect 25-30k out of a set

proxes where about 140 a piece

I run General exclaim UHP's on my tc and can say I love the tires especially in rain and snow over proxes, but they have a short tread life (prolly 20-25k)

generals where 129 a piece

You could prolly get more mileage out of the tires if you don't have bad driving habits like mine.

I orignally purchased the UHP's from someone whos was going to mount them on a ss/sc so I would check but I'm led to believe they will work 225/40zr18 92w
I know you said falkens but in case you are considering other options!
