SC silencer

Has anybody here filled in the s/c silencers on their s/c. I am going to be doing it today. I did it on my Cobra and it made it ungodly loud. Just curious to see if anybody else here has done it and how much louder it is. It does not give you any more boost, just makes the scream of the s/ more prominent

Unfortunately I do not have any pics yet, but I gues I will have to make a "how-to thread when i do it. The supercharger has "silencer holes" built into it to keep the sound of the supercharger down. Not everybody wants to hear it scream so that's why the manufacturer does it. The supercharger must be removed and the holes filled with JB weld. It takes about 24 hours for the stuff to dry. I know JB weld seems cheesy, but I did on my Cobra and I had over 90,000 miles on it without any problems. It just made the supercharger ungodly loud. That is why I wanted to know if anybody else has done this on the Cobalt. Guess I will be the first.

I will take a lot of pictures and post up a threa once it is ready.

The silencers are the angle slots on either side of the main outlet. Blown 4-banger was gonna try it, but had a bunch of people tell him he would ruin the blower. Please let us know how it goes and if you could post some before and after sound clips that would be awesome.

i probably shouldn't talk about this because i would get fired from my job at nasa. but here it is anyways. nasa is currently developing a high tech blower silencer that is still in the prototype stages but here is a glimpse of what t looks like:

I wouldnt port out the boost bleeders, i would think if you do that your going to bleed more boost than what is needed.

So you want to annoy people, that statement right there sounds like the guy with a Honda who just cuts off his muffler.....
