SCDyne Header

Ok guys. I know what you are going to say. "STAY AWAY FROM THIS PIECE OF CRAP". I haven't heard one word from Vibrant in ages. Now, I know his header was having some fitment issues and leaks. However didn't he make a new design from a new company? I just found out his company was banned but has anyone recently talked to SCDyne about their new header or has one?

Yeah because the Vibrant header is going to be around $700. That's kinda pricey but somewhat good for what you get (the downpipe also). However, I don't think it will make THAT much more than just a regular shorty. Maybe 10 hp more but I can't really see it making much more than that. I really might end up buying the SCDyne header in like 2 weeks even if no one replies to this and become a test mule.

I would love to get the scdyne man. Ive heard from a couple of customers that its really not that bad. And the gain is there. I myself dont want vibrant since I dont need a downpipe, thats just gona create an ugly ricy sound. And I already payed for a high flow cat, so I would be a lot better off with the scdyne shorty.

Here is what I know
1. He did not pay for his Supporting Vendor status
2. I got a few emails from people that never got what they paid for.
If you guys do buy anything, I strongly recommend you do COD. (cash on delivery)

I would avoid SCDyne. Just about everybody that has delt with them has been screwed over. I know a guy that got one of the original headers and it was garbage. Adam told him to return the header and he'd send him one out of the new batch. Well no new header and Adam will not return any of his emails. So BUYER BEWARE.

Yeah i'd definately do the COD. I really don't like paypal that much or any other form of payment. I just want a shorty header for a good price . Can't a company such as modernperformance or revitup make one quickly and sell it for $400?

I have the Scdyne one and yes it's not that bad. Please stop bashing him unless you experimented some problem with his products.

OK yes. I looked on their website and they said they include a SCE gasket. JMC, is that a new gasket that fits the header? Do you have it? I think i'm going to buy this header within a week or two. I emailed them a couple of questions. Hopefully they will respond quickly.

JMC, one more question: How did you pay for the header? Over the phone? Paypal? COD?

I talked to Ray from Revitup (real nice guy) and he said he has a header in the works. Price was not discussed but if you give him a shout he might disclose that info, its worth a shot.

1 : When I bought the header several months ago, it doesn't include any gaskets, so I used the stock one and it fitted properly.

2 : I paid 400 $ with paypal and received it exactly 2 weeks later.

I had it for a long time, i liked it when it wasnt leaking. The gaskets held up for me for about 5 months. I had the original batch of headers also so i dont know whats going on with the new ones... Im trying to get the one from back home i had taken off back, gonna try the new gaskets available from him. Really isnt that bad of a header for the money. if you know a little about gaskets and dont mind making a few of your own every once in awhile, its not a bad buy. Definate power increase!

What does the header do to the gaskets? Crack them or something?
