Scraaape, Snaaaap, glug glug glug. Drain **** down!

I just got done filling my gas tank and was leaving the parkin lot and I somehow bottomed out. I pull over immediaty to see coolant pissing out like no tomorrow. Turns out I snapped my drain **** off. Terrible ******* place to put it. On the very bottom of the IC?!!? Anyways I'm 400 miles from home and need to get the existing broken off piece out so I can get home. Anyone know of any ideas? I've heard an easy out might be my only chance.

Ya ya troll away. Ive heard it called IC and Heat Exchanger, at least you knew what I meant . Anyways I bought an easy out and the thing came right out. The drain **** still had enough thread to get a snug fit! Total cost to fix $20. For some reason though as soon as I was done putting Dex-Cool in my check engine light came on. Says I had a misfire which has never happened before. Why the hell does this all need to happen when I am out of state lol.

Glade you got it fixed

misfires happen, you should be fine for your trip.

And When i was supercharged i just used water and a full bottle of water wetter. Keeps it so much cooler.

you only need dex-cool or any other radiator fluid so it doesnt freeze in the winter. Other then that it doesnt stay as cool as water can, so when its not freezing temps outside you can run all water. The water wetter makes the water stay alot cooler then it normally would. Its says on the bottle only use so much per so many gallons, i just use the whole bottle lol. This will help with your IAT2's which really helps on long trips and also getting alittle more power.

^beat me to it by 30 seconds lol
distilled water has a better heat transfer rate. but it will freeze, coolant has the benefit of heat transfer and the ability to remain fluid below normal freezing temps. id keep the coolant in there over pure water if you live anywhere that gets real winter.

Run it dry and don't go into boost. I don't see anything going wrong especially if it's all highway. Ain't the m90 of the gtp's NOT cooled? Giving the fact they don't produce heat like ours but just don't go into boost n cruise. You'll be fine
