Thumbs up Secret CAI..lol

Well after being cheap and buying the CAI off ebay , i found that the FITMENT SUCKED! No matter what i did the piping rubbed on the crossmemeber behind the headlight and the hole. So I went and ripped it out and made some adjustments. I ended up using the original stock piping section and then cutting the CAI and using the rest of that to go thru the fender with a K&N filter and of course a rubber .

Stock....

Or is it??

What do u guys think..... o yea no CEL's... knock on wood...

I think the AEM CAI setup is something similiar to this. Correct me if im wrong...

Question since I'm thinkn bout it...did you just remove that plastic in your fender wall or did you leave it up there or cut a hole? I'm honestly trying to figure out how the filter gets nice air flow with all them covers and stuff around it.

Trust me, that area isn't air tight. Plenty of air comes all over the place.

You can cut it with a hack saw, angle grinder, blow torch (none of that propane junk ) or whatever else your little heart desires

You did the right thing. AEM makes their intake just like that. You should be fine. Good work making something out of nothing.

I used a grinder with a cutting disc on it. Cut thru it like butter.
