Serious Help Needed

I was planning out my meth kit today and I removed the vacuum line from my boost bypass valve to the switch?(I think) It has an an inlet and outlet line for boost, as well as another outlet directly below the line coming from the bypass valve side. This is located between the bypass valve and supercharger. Anyway, when i pulled the line off i pulled off whatever was on the outlet directly below it. I dont know what it was so I put a vacuum cap there and now Im boosting wayyyy below what i should be and the car has no *****. Can anyone take a picture or enlighten me as so what this switch is called or what sohuld be there instead of the vacuum cap. thanks.

the only thing i can think of is that its the bleed-off and with it capped its unable to allow the bypass valve to close. try taking the vacume cap off and see what it does.

bump, would anybody be willing to go look at their ss/sc and see whats there? see if that port does have direct access and is not closed off to atmospheric pressure.

well, i beleive its just a typical gm boost controll solonoid, and i know they all have 1 from the manifold, 1 going to the wastegate/bypass valve, and the other one is a filter for the release air, just vents to atmosphere.

bump for morning crew. Any other input? Could it be a check ball to let boost bleed off, but not allow anything back in?

this is how the bypass system works. You have a line coming off the lower intake manifold which goes directly to the bypass solenoid (it's the electronic piece with the grey foam on it), from there you have a line going to the bypass valve on the SC (black canister looking thing), this line is going to the bottom port. The other line comes directly off the SC and goes to the top of the canister.

So how it works is the line off the SC to the top of the canister keep the bypass open during normal driving (using vacuum) and when you floor it, you lose vacuum which causes the spring actuated bypass to close. The only reason for the other line which goes to the bottom of the canister is to open the bypass even if there is no vacuum on the other side. This is to limit boost and can be removed if you don't want your boost limited.

Yes there is a peice of foam that is still on output i lost. I took the vacuum cap off and now i boost 90-100KPA which is eqivalent to about 14psi. that does not sound right at all. what do you recommend I do>

Ok, look at the picture below. There is a line coming off the intake manfold under the "Ecotec Supercharged" plastic injector cover. That line should run to the backside of the factory electric boost solenoid. The foam piece should go on the bottom port on the front side of the electric solenoid as well. Then the vacuum line I T'd into for my meth kit in this picture goes to the bypass valve on the supercharger.

Note: Do not 'T' into the line I did. I had to redo mine as it doesn't work right this way. 'T' into the line coming directly off the intake manifold that goes to the backside of the electric boost solenoid.

14-15psi is right where you should be on GM Stage 2.

ok thanks for the info. One last Q. Can I leave the lower outlet(front side) on the electric solenoid open then?
