Hey Guys, I'm giving it some serious thought that I'd like to Turbo Swap my LSJ, I guess my question is: How much am I realisticly looking at $$ Wise? I would prolly be having Nick from BYT do the Install, I'd also like to know some opinions on weather or not I should do it, Its either Turbo Swap or TVS and I would like to hit 375-400 WHP, My Balt has 70K on it now....Lets hear it.

 

If you are looking at BYT to do it then talk to ULWIZSS. He got a swap done by him just reciently. Can give you rough costs I'm sure. This is also good reading of his swap and experience during it.

Only way to hit your power goals on a TVS is with a ported head. You can do it with the hahn kit listed on stock motor, and then some.

 

Hitting 350 WHP on TVS is def possible, However I am aware that Turbo Swapping it will be much easier to attain, But thanks for the input.

yea 350 with TVS is def possible, i never said its not, but with a turbo youll be makin that and some more without stressing the turbo as much as youll be stressing the tvs dropping pulleys, ported head, maybe even e85 ect. their both good choices though, but a tvs with all bolt ons is going to be more than just getting this kit and you get everything you need, and from a trusted member here.

 

Yeah, I hear ya, Damn Man His kit is ****! I dont know a whole lot about Turbo's yet, How good of a deal is it Really? How much is it if I were to buy the Kit brand new Approx?

 

the kit is about 4.5k new. but he is including maybe about another grand that doesnt come with the kit.
plus bro when u get it, you sell your whole supercharger and kit to a base model balt and make a good amount of your money back.

Yeah Bro, I know I saw that you were the first person that wanted it. I am really considering it, I just havent had a whole lotta luck sellin supercharged parts on this site and thats another reason why I'm hesitant, but what I tried selling before sure as hell wasent as attractive as the MOD's that I have now so maybe they'll sell faster IDK, But I do want it, I know that much...Its just a matter if I want to let go of $3,000 Right Now, Thats the Milliondollar Question?

 

Honestly if money is going to be an issue then you don't want to turbo swap. Once you start getting into these power levels you want you are going to start spending money so the car can handle the power safely. And don't expect something not to break. Not saying it will but it can happen. Just something else for you to think about.
