Thumbs down Seriously Wtf!

Buddy had his car pulled/towed home do to the fact that his clutch pedal went to the floor but now he has a bigger problem the guy that pulled his car attached the tow strap to a pulley? or whatever this piece is that is brokin off. It seems to attach to the block or alternator I couldnt tell since it was getting dark. It also tore his coolant hose. If anyone can help please supply serious comments...as much as I wanna sit here and bash the guy that did it im just more worried about whats wrong with his car.
Car is a 06 LSJ

one of the attachment points for an engine hoist. by no means was it meant to tow/pull a car.

did you guys not stop the driver as soon as you noticed?? and did you alert him to it and show it to him? hopefully the towing company will be the one getting the bill for the repairs.

No idea, he called me and told me his clutch pedal went to the floor I told him to call a tow truck, this guy was just a person from his work and they pulled it with the guys pickup truck. My buddy isnt the most mechanically inclined so he prolly didnt think nothing of it but he said as soon as they got back the guy rushed away so he had to notice. Some people amaze me...if I was there this wouldnt of happened. I cant find this part Im looking in a build book now, its not part of the alternator.

*Found it guess its just the alternator mounting bracket.

I know right, I feel bad for him im sure he needs a new throw out bearing aswell. The clutch is soft and no gears engage while the car is running.

Silly that the owner didn't pay attention to the tow driver. I'd be eyeing him like a hawk.

Is it? :/ I was more worried about his coolant leak and it was basically dark outside i couldnt see much and there was so much tension on that pully from the belt i couldnt move it and my dull pocket knife wasnt cuttin the belt. Guess he'll find out tomorrow when they look at it.

Thank you to my buddy for posting this! Something in the trans gave out which was in the bell housing.. wasnt the master cylinder. It leaked in side where my clutch was so I had to buy a new one... from what I was told. which was replaced last summer with the GM upgraded one for the lsj :'( As for on top.. The tech that worked there didnt mess it up to bad and there wasnt any damage to the block, it was a bracket I had to replace which was one 65 bucks.. and a new belt. I figured he knew what he was doing and I asked him about pulling it from there twice. Oh well **** happens!! Got something else done too.. big bill!!! good thing I work at a dealership, I got a pretty good deal. She'll be done tomorrow..
