Hey guys i think i broke something but i dont know what. i was driving to work and i put it in sec. gear.(it went in normal) i go to shift in 3rd and it gets stuck in sec. gear. so i push alittle harder and it comes out but now my shift length it alot longer. and its hard to find the gears, and neutral. i have a hurst short shifter if that makes a diff.

Pin that goes on top of your trans inside the lever that comes up. Its a 20 cent piece, without it your cars doesn't move.

the roll pin attaches the shifter cables to the transmission. Here is a close up and then farter back (pic from the Atom so ignore the frame

 

do you think i would be ok driving it to town and back to the parts store

 

if that is the problem and it breaks you wont be able to shift at all
