Haha, Feel like taking an lt to the boonies?

If I do get stuck with it, I could save all my money and put a downpayment on whatever chevy has plans for on the 2011 SS/SC or whatever comes next! haha

Meh, The car will probably be sold within the next year.

Wait a minute, I guess the ss/sc is discontinued next year... boo.

I've never leased, so I don't know for sure, but won't they let you out of the lease early if you are buying a higher priced car?
I think my G/F got an offer to lease something better after only 1 year?

A lease is a bad idea from the start. You don't own the car, they screw you for every little thing wrong when you give it back including mileage. And to top it all off at the end of the lease YOU DON'T OWN THE CAR ANYMORE!

I'd go with the buddy taking it to the boonies idea. Just make sure it can be found and torch it so it'll be writen off. Oh yeah and make sure you have gap insurance before this so you don't owe a penny on it. And when its found and the cops come to inform you a few tears always helps.

That works out better for you. Why get $5 an hr more and then just waste it on the car. Keep the lower payment and save money for cooler ****. Vacations, TV's, rent whatever.

I knew a kid years ago who got his buddies to steal his Z28 cause he couldn't afford it. He gave them they keys, they took it and stripped it completely, then used a truck to dump the empty carcass in the woods somewhere.

But I am wondering how hard it is to steal one of these? Has anyone heard of someone who had their Cobalt stolen?
FWI understand, these things are almost impossible to hotwire, is that right? My point is that when a car is stolen and torched the insurance detectives look at the owner as the #1 suspect and the car better show signs of forced entry and hot wiring or your ass may be in a sling.

I'd give the keys to a thief, get a ride to a convenient store then call the cops from there. Say you were stupid and left it running in the lot and someone took it.
But hey, I can't help you do something illegal. I did not write these words, I was not here.

there's a rumor on the gm site that they're making a new "performance model" for the cobalt... http://media.gm.com/us/chevrolet/en/...alt/index.html
