Ok so im trying to decide on this so i need some input...i could order a PsiFi kit online for around $550, or i could wait till spring to order one from GM. They both put out the same power but i dunno which is the better buy. Thanks

 

I would wait. Not sure if the performance from the GM kits will be all that good or not but you will hopefully know in a few days. The SEMA show is Nov 1st-4th. Just wait a bit then decide.

 

Being that the SEMA show is next week, I'd wait and see was gets announced before ordering anything.

 

Without any Gm engine management. I would focus on Cams and headwork.

I would wait and see if you could get something that works just as good or mabey better and still have it be GM and maby not void your warrenty.

 

thats the one thing i worry about, voiding my warranty. I think im going to wait...couldnt hurt.

 

How do you know that they put out the same power? Personally, I wouldn't do anything until I knew exactly how much power the GM upgrades put out, and how much they cost. I'm gonna take a wild guess and say they're gonna be pretty expensive, though.

 

How does PsiFi = GM Stage kit?

the GM article said that the stage 2 would put out around 45 hp, the PsiFi would do that without injectors or n ECU flash. That just confused me. Im going to wait till after SEMA to make my decision.

i just hope the stage 1,2,3 dont come out like the 2.4 twin cam s/c did , took way to long

the s/c kit for the 2.2 eco's , is slowly headed that way


but hopefully there will be a decent answer at sema , for both the stage's and the 2.2 eco s/c

A re-flash and pulley alone will add more than a PsiFi because it's a piggy back unit.

Does anyone here understand how a piggy back unit works?

 

Wait, that way you can see what else is coming and also if nothing excites you you already know what is out

 

I'd like to be wrong, but I wouldn't expect a single Staged upgrade to happen for at least 6 months after SEMA. Then if you have a Saturn it probably wont be included and depending on the success of the Stage 1, Stage 2 and 3 may never come out.
If GM bases the price on performance then it will be too expensive, but if they base the price on labor time; Hopefully it will be inexpensive enough to be worth it.
