You're comparing apples to oranges. the CIA header for $206 you keep quoting and comparing to the other midlength headers DOES NOT INCLUDE A DOWNPIPE! The downpipe is another $300 from them. So thats $500. Nearly the same cost as the other guys except they are stainles steel.

Nevermind

you can go to an exhaust shop and have them make you a downpipe with a cat or without a cat for far less than 300 bucks.

God some of you people are noobish. How many of you have ever modified a car before?

Buddy, I'm 28 years old and I've been working/modifying cars since I was 15. And probably the slowest car I've ever owned yet is my cobalt, so I know a few things about going fast. The mustang I just sold ran 12.0s consistently @115-117 mph on a little stock block 302. Car before that was a twin turbo completely homebuilt 92 GT that I built using all junkyard parts and junkyard turbos that trapped well over 118mph. But over the many years of working on lots of PITA junk hot rods, I've learned one thing............................I MUCH prefer to buy stuff that is ready to bolt on and doesn't require some exhaust shop or specialized shop to fab **** up. Like I said, not knocking CIA, their product looks great, but when you keep telling everyone "its only $206! compared to the $600 vibrant" you are comparing apples to oranges. the vibrant COMES with everything 100% ready to bolt on and go.

I think your thread has proven it's point. You got a piece of garbage instead of a header. I don't think it's going to hurt anyone to get a little off topic at this point. Your thread is a success.

I have a vibrant header/downpipe and I love it. The quality is amazing, I remembered when I first got it I was very impressed with the build quality. Been on for a while now, no problems.

CTI Pics..

Nice welds

In this last picture we can see that the inside welds don't hang out into the gasket opening very much at all. Also this gasket has a port size almost twice that of the stock one and the stock one matches the cylinder head ports exactly.

As I stated before those people that have issuses with their header are being taken care of.
