Some Help Here!!

So im pretty set on what im goin to do with the balt...but need a little help on some things from some people who know what they are talking about...getting ingalls, stage 2 axles, and im either getting ca stage 5 or stage 6...the stage 6 just adds the dual pass, will it help that much, do i really need it? Also with those kind of mods ill be close to 300 horsepower...go with the 2.5 tag exhaust, the 3.0, or the 3.0 race exhaust( i want it to sound good like the tag exhaust video on youtube, very throaty) with the hahn shorty header...then lastly what about clutch to get...bully stage 3 or 4....help a brother out..thanks

dual pass is a real good idea...that and a better heat exchanger will hell you keep those air intake temps down. Especially, if you're going to a small pulley like a 2.5". Also so far as a clutch a bully stage 3 is good enough, unless you're gonna try to get more power by doing a fully built motor and more bolt-ons then I'd go with stage 4

i will be careful...so then ill probably get the stage 6...that comes with meth, heat exchanger, and dual pass...so cooling mods should be good...ill get the bully stage 3....i just cant make up my mind on the exhaust...pretty sure im goin to get the hahn shorty head...im pretty sure im goin to go with the tag 2.5 to keep my tq, but should i go cat and resonator, no cat and res...or what?

Be careful with that 2.5" you're spinning the blower hella fast with that. I've heard in other threads that 2.7 is the safe limit....

That is always a good thing. Know what you are doing before you do it.

Another thing that I hear alot. Canned tunes are bad, always. Even the GMPP tune for their stage kits can use some improvements. Read up on that particular kit, see what others have had happen. Hopefully someone with some more specific know how will see this thread too, because I dont know much about CA's kits

ive been looking for a lil while now and i can only find about 2 people that have it...plus there wont be any tuning issues, because the shop by my house does insane work...so im probably goin to do the ca stage 5 and buy a 2.7( with all my supporting mods)and have my shop tune it beastly

2.5 pulley = save up for an engine rebuild. All these people throwing thousands into supercharger setup upgrades losing more reliability with each dollar spent. You want serious power? It's not going to come with this tiny blower. Buy a turbo.

roots blowers have a larger ratio of parasitic loss the faster you spin them, not to mention the heatsoak. I love my cobalt, but let's face it...turbo is the only option for serious power, so start saving now.

i would love to do turbo....but dont have that kind of money and if i went turbo at all it would be the new evo...so how about this setup....ingalls, motor mounts, stage 2 axles, bully stg 3 clutch, hahn header, tag 2.5 exhaust, ca stage 5 with 2.7...how does it sound, missing anything, i dont want anything to break...that is why i want to know...also when you say custom tune, will the shop just have something to tune it

You also need to be careful and watch your gauges (you need wideband and a aeroforce definitely) to make sure that you dont have the dreaded #4 pop.
But I think you should be OK, if your tuner knows what they are doing. Seems like you got some cash to throw down too.

I would be weary of switching to 60lb injectors and anything under a 2.9 pulley personally...

You need an experienced tuner to do your HPTuners
