I dynoed 222 with stage 2 from GM consider yourself lucky. Most people dynoying 260 are either full of it or using dynojets.

Its important to know what your baseline was too. If you baseline a lower number like around 205, than a 15% increase in horsepower is about right. Also, if your plugs are not gapped at .045, gap them at it. It will make a huge difference.

Did you verify your plug gap? Do you know what your baseline was?

Sorry, I should have clarified that I was talking to J-Rod. I have no experience with the GM kits, just the miniscule amount I know about the Intense kits.

I haven't seen anyone dyno 260+ that' "full of it".

To the poster, how about listing ALL of your mods, and settings. Make sure the plugs are gapped at .045, and it sounds like you need to lean it out a bit. I've seen people's traps go up 2+ mph by leaning it out over the standard INTENSE settings. The INTENSE settings are good, just a bit rich to keep it safe. If you have a scanner and a wideband, dialing it in will be easy, and will net you good gains. Most of Fast06SS's progress is because of him learning his car, and making sure it's dialed in. Look at the bright side, blkss waited a long time to have his "precious" warranty, and you're making more than him. Even without the sweet 7k redline that puts extra stress on the valve springs.

Very True!!

As far as the 260+ comments go.... Rob's posted a few dyno sheets on here that prove his car is dialed in making over 260. As far as full of it, track times show the power is there and that's more important then dyno numbers.

It's all about learning how the car reacts and settings. I normally run a C0 now when the weather is 70 and up.

What many people need to realize is that different dyno's read differently. That is why it is a good idea to get a baseline on a dyno, do mods, and then go back to the same dyno to get an accurate idea of your improvements. For example, I went to Evolution Motorsports on a Mustang dyno and got 231whp with only an Injen CAI. After more mods, I plan on going back to the same dyno to get results.

Also, from what I've heard, many people who buy the Intense kit just want to bolt it on and go and get 270whp!! That is not going to happen. The whole point is to be able to tune your car with the new mods. That is what makes the setup work so well. Play around with it.

i really dont think tuning is that necessary...everytime rob does something he makes the most power on the c1 setting. I know for me that is also the seeting that works best for driveability.

Plugs were so far off. One was under .30 one was over .45 and the other two were probably about .35. I put them all at .45 and the difference is amazing. I am pissed at my guy who installed it. He admitted he didnt even check them when he took them out of the box. I can't wait to get it dyno'd again. Thanks for the advice guys

Yes.... I think so from some runs I made at the track(Lapeer last weekend). I gapped my pulgs at .035 and made a pass. I then came back and regapped them at .045. Difference was I gained 2mph in trap with simular 60fts. O2 reading on the aeroforce gauge were 880-990 with IAT2 at 130-150 during the passes with .035 gap. When gapped at .045 I was 860-870 with IAT 135-150 but gained 2 mph. On C1 settings....

On C0 settings I was 845-860's Some might consider that a little too lean so I would suggest C1 to start and see where the A/F is with a .045 gap first.

whats the benefit of doing a .45 gap over thet stock .35? Anyone think this would be a benefit to those with the GM stage 2 kit, or anyone can give the underlining reasoning why this is beneficial to an intense kit and not the GM?

Nice!! thanks for the input. I'm gonna run the C1 until I can get it monitured again and dyno'd. If i am still rich i'll switch to C0.

Thanks again
