sooo i need some help

Ok im getting my car back next week with a whole engine build and i was wondering if i could shift at 3000rpms or under, i know the clutch takes 500 miles to wear in but the motor, how long should i drive like that until tuning day? i was thinking 1500 miles

also before my engine blew i had 2.8 pulley with 42lbs injectors and i know thats a big increase to the 79lbs that i have now..

any thought?

what tune will you be running on your 79s until "tuning day"? If it's a GM tune, I wouldn't drive at all.

So you plan on running 79 pound injectors with a tune for 48 pound injectors?

I doubt it'll even run.

Yes i had 60s that i changed on the dyno cuz the 42s max out and after 3 run with the 60s the dip stick popped out and then we put in back in and then i blew the headgasket. but i know he tuned or ran it once or twice on the 60s.. better off alittle then the 42s

You wont get very far with such a drastic change in injector size.

Your gas mileage will probably be around 10-15mpg, the car will run like absolute ****, and it might cause more damage

BTW, if you put so much money into your car why are you still running the stock blower?

A stock blower with a 2.5" pulley is operating it FAR outside it's efficiency range.

yeah i was thinking the same thing.. but what if it doesnt run like ****? cuz maybe just maybe the tuner tuned it with the 60s enough so it wouldnt run like ****.. should i still shift under 3000rpms or under with no boosting or maybe 1 to 5 pounds. do you think i should be ok then? cuz i have no other choice to drive it around and break in the motor.

why cant you just put the 60s back on? or even the 42s and then once the motor is broken in, put the 79ers back on and then get it tuned... its tuned for 60s right? with all that money spent on the rebuild you should throw the 60s back on ya know?
