If it's sparking and it was the starter don't you think the fusible links would have blown?

id check to see if the teminal on the starter is loose, then see if the solinoid has power.

yeah, id check that fusible link too, but that usually will let the car start, but have no charging.

Ummm I would have to say that you want to jack the car up and go about it that way. But seriously if you're are still under warranty. Call GM Roadside Assistance and have it towed to the dealership and make them fix it...

Call your dealership and ask them to check the power train warranty. Some 06's had a 5 year 60,000 mile power train warranty...I know mine does...

I dunno I've never had a reason to look at my starter. If it is the starter you're gonna be out 200-300 bones just for the starter...

**** that the starter is part of the power train! When the car doesn't ****** start then how the **** can you say that there isn't something wrong with the power train. I would call back and ask for the service manager. Honestly if your trying to chase down an electrical issue and have little or no experience working on cars asking for help over the internet isn't gonna help matters. I would take it to a mechanic you trust if the dealership won't touch it under warranty.

Pleases dont start touching metal tools to the starter and the loose wires without unhooking your battery.

haha I'd be arguing with GM about that one. I got them to cover my step brothers car even after it was out of warranty
