Does anyone know the difference between the stage 2 and stage 2+ spec clutchs? Which one do most of the people who them have?

the " + " clutches use a series of hinges on the pressure plate that allow it to keep the stock pedal feel, and allows it to clamp harder when it's already spinning.

i think they say the stage 2+ will hold stage 3 tq levels while keeping oem pedal feel

I've been hearing some bad news about the spec clutches for the cobalts. They keep burning up (probably because the owners didn't break it in properly though well that's what I think) I would wait a bit for more companies to come out with clutches for our cars and than compare them.

There was actually 2 or 3..

All i'm saying is that I'm going to wait for another company to come out with a good clutch and also wait for more people to get these clutches on and post their opinions/problems about them.

That makes more sense now Of course you might be waiting forever as there will always be a dissatified customer

I actually did this as an expierment to see how much it will hold. See, i feel the stage2+ fits 90% of the owners out there and thier needs. What a better way to find out than test it myself. See, i own my own performance shop and i want to be sure i'm recommending the best choice for my customers Stage 3+ will be next if this doesn't hold.

If we were to wait for companies to come out with better stuff none of us would have ANYTHING on our cars because we would be waiting for something else... That's like saying... I'm gonna wait to buy a new computer because the new one will have more memory, bigger hd, and a faster cpu

Thanks! I may come accross brash at times but i do tell it like it is, honest and to the point. I will admit if i'm wrong, i don't know it all as we are ALWAYS learning! and we are very fair and upfront. That is why we charge WARRANTY times on all our Cobalt work!! To help save you guys some money. Industry standard is warranty time PLUS 40-60%!!
