So I have an injector harness for my 60's with a pink, yellow, green, red and blue wire. I'm getting ready to cut the connectors off and splice my connectors for my 42's on. Problem is that my 42 connectors have red&tan, red&white, red&purple/yellow and red&grey/green. How on earth do I wire these up? Is it possible to wire them backwards?

Harness:
Inj #1: pink&yellow
Inj #2: pink&green
Inj #3: pink&red
Inj #4: pink&blue

Connectors:
Inj #1: red&tan
Inj #2: red&white
Inj #3: red&purple/yellow tracer
Inj #4: red&grey/green tracer

So do I match red to pink on each injector and then just hook the rest of the wires together like?:
Inj #1: pink-red
...........yellow-tan
Inj #2: pink-red
...........green-white
Inj #3: pink-red
...........red-purple/yellow tracer
Inj #4 pink-red
...........blue-grey/green tracer

That sounds right doesn't it?

Thats what I would do, but out of curiosity, why are you going from 60's to 42's?

 

Cars currently tuned for 42's and I don't have the funds to get it retuned at the moment
