Squealing belt, how do I fix it!?!?!
LOL...
The other day I installed my 3" ZZP pulley, install went great took about 25 mins. So I start the car up everything is fine, took it for a drive and it started to squeal really bad then it went away. I was like ok everything is fine....
Now, when I start the car up it squeals for about 10-15 sec. It's kinda embarassing when your in a parking lot with ppl around.
I have checked the belt several time and took it on and off, still no end to the squealing.
What should I do?
Thanks

hes rite on the biger idler but insted of workin on your metal bracket just take a pair of side cutters and cut down the inside edge of the idler then when you start the car hold a flat head scredriver to that edge and it'll flatin it self out.
pm if you have any questions

It could be what the other's have suggested but could it be the belt got some dirt or grime on it when you re-installed it, maybe just a good cleaning would take care of the problem...also, what about a bad pulley?
Check to make sure that the belt is all the way on the a/c pulley. Sometimes people don't get it all the way on the pulley and it will make that noise. It did with mine when I put the same pulley on my car. I looked down and saw the belt 1 rib off the A/C pulley.
i dont think its a problum with swaping belts i think its more along the lines of keeping proper tension on the belt.
the older or more miles on a belt it will strech so tension becomes even more important.
