squeeling from diff
squeeling from diff
well my clutch was going out a while ago and i was hearing a squeeling from the tranny which i thought it was probably a throwout bearing... well i ordered a spec 3+ clutch and flywheel in and replaced the throwout bearing/slave cylinder and finally got it put back together... took it out for a test drive and basically im hearing a whining coming from the diff (not gear related) and my tranny is leaking fluid...
anyone else had this problem and what am i looking at for the bs on this whole ordeal???

mine is as soon as you start it up and it gets louder with with the rev. i just installed a new clutch last night and been giving me problems since i reassymbled. i replaced the clutch, pressure plate and the throwout bearing.
i sold a clutch over the counter to a guy with a redline and he was back with the car a few days later with something similar. there is a little tin cover just above the passenger side axle that prevents debris from getting into the bellhousing. in this case, that little cover was pushed in against the flywheel and making noise. have a look at that.
it may be a wheel bearing mine whines when the car it moving. even just in nuetral but when i stop it stops. also i have the squeeling. if i get on it in first and go into high rpms and shift it squeels
