superchargering a vehicle has nothing to do with the transmission. You can put a supercharger on a automatic. A matter of fact, I recommend automatic for drag racing because with a good set up, no human can shift perfectly like a auto.

Let's not kid ourselves here, unless you are going to sink thousands into your auto tranny you might as well get the manual. Yes auto transmissions provide consistant shifts and easier launches but in order to refine those so that they are useful for racing you need a high stall torque converter, redone valve bodies, and pretty much everything else in the transmission. So unless you are shooting for 10s the auto tranny isn't a real great choice because you are going to be sinking more money into your tranny then into the rest of the car just to get it up to spec.
I'm not arguing, I just don't like the blanket statement you made because it's only true with a "yeah but". in there.

firstly, I am glad the SC does not come in an auto.... every none stick driving geek would have one and it would not be as exclusive!
and YES you can get most supercharged cars w/ autos....
pontiacs and buicks.... does the SC mini come in auto?
I used to own a 1990? T-bird SC (3.something liter V6, supercharged) that was an autotragic.... had the smaller pulley, K&N and a custom shift kit... that thing was fast on the highway... but a heavy pig in corners.

No but, I just heard and this is not a joke. They now make Automatic WRX imprezza. (The turbo ones too) Im not joking. So if you are looking for a decently fast auto car. thats it.

I've driven an auto WRX (2.0t) and the turbo lag was rediculous. Nothing a nice high stall TC and an open exhaust couldn't fix, but in stock form it's just rediculous.
