my buddy has a integra and wants to run with me wen i get my car and hes got.......a GSR motor turbo not sure about rest.

hes sayin hes got 230-260hp, first of all is this possible and second would i beable to beat him if im stock.....for some reason i think i can take him off the line but he will get me in the long end

 

youll get smoked if you are stock for sure. Off the line hell also take you, you have about the same tq as he does which will have you both taking off equally, and then hell pull you hard since he has about 50whp more than you, not to mention he is lighter and has better gearing.

 

if he turbo'd it right...which if thats the numbers he posting up it sounds like he did....then hes got you beat.

I guess it would depend on how crazy your tune was. An exhaust would also help alot for sure.

Its hard to say exactly because for one, I don't know what his whp is. (Significant difference between 230 and 260) Also, it is hard to say how your particular car will respond to mods.

I think that it would be safe to say though that if you installed a full exhaust along with your other planned mods and get a good tune, you'll probably be very competitive, even if he is pushing 260whp. Also consider getting some cooling mods because of the smaller pulley, and if you are going to race from a dig, invest in some traction mods as well. I hope that helps some.

Yeah, never underestimate a properly turboed Honda. Alot of people do and that's why there are so many videos of Hondas smoking cars that supposedly should win.

 

Don't flame me for this...but I still believe hondas are a waste of time, dont get me wrong there are plenty of fast ones out there killing Z06s and pullin on Vipers, but still, that much money invested into a car meant to get groceries is just too much time and energy...but hey that just IMO. I have plenty of friends with 11 second CRXs, and yeah I respect the fact that they made their cars monsters and all, but I still dont understand it, but people say the same thing about why I love the 13b lol...but yeah, a turbo GSR should kill you

 

I'm not going to flame you for that, I see what you're saying. The only thing I do have to say is that Hondas are actually fairly cheap to make quick. Of course it costs alot to make one a viper killer, but as far as just making one quick, they are easy to modify. I personally would not modify a Honda to that extent however, so on that level I agree with you.

 

yeah they are fairly cheap to make quick...and that is because of the huge aftermarket that is available for them due to the insane amount of Ricers that they attract...and no the car is not rice, the driver makes it rice...in the same night I am with my friends in their insane CRXs, you will see the typical rice boy with the ebay fartcan exhaust weaving through traffic...I think I cant stand what the Civic has come to stand for, not the car itself, just what it has become

 

yeah okay, My friend spent 4k on a turbo kit for his rsx type s. put down 370whp and 250wtq. took every car you can imagine from a roll.

Stock clutch and stock everything, VERY FAST

 

Ok since you clearly didnt understand either of my posts i will respond...but anywho..every car i can imagine? how about a Vette? or a F430? oh how about a car that has a jet engine and can do 0-60 in under 2 seconds? i can imagine these things, or how about a Delorean from back to the future that can fly?....but really if you wanna talk about taking cars from rolls and these sorts of things, why did you just jump on this thread and attack something that didnt need to be attacked...I have plenty of respect for hondas that are done right....as I said....please take the time out to read before you post

Also gonna have to call BS on the stock everything...especially on the clutch aspect, pistons wont last long, and the exhaust is probally creating too much pressure with that kinda boost...so pretty soon...bye bye turbo housing

 

yeah theres a supercharged one up here that says he walks evos and sti's like nothing.

 

Beating cocky kids in their Evos and STIs just puts a smile on my face....especially when its some young punk with daddies money
