stage 2

I hear everyone talking about getting bigger injectors and a new tune along with a smaller pully somewhere along the lines of 2.9 and below. I was going to order a stage 2 kit but eventually wanted to get even faster. Is there even a point in getting it now or can you just go for the smaller pullies/tune and injec?

If you plan on going big in the future you're better off piecing the kit together yourself. Get a modular pulley system (my system can support a pulley down to 2.6 without snout machining and down to 2.3 with snout machining), larger injectors, a custom tune, and a stage 2 belt for now. You'll also probably want to look into some cooling modifications including a dual pass endplate and cobra heat exchanger.

If you don't want to do everything right away, you can get the modular pulley system with a more conservative (3.0/3.1) pulley and when you're ready to go farther you can just get another pulley.

Hope this helps,
Nate

Believe it or not, I've actually made a 2.275" for a guy in Australia, I think it's quite a bit of overkill but he said that he's happy with it.

commodore isnt the grand prix equiv....

the only thing we have over here comparable, is the GTO (modelled after the Australian Holden Monaro, which in a nutshell, is a coup version of the commodore)

The yummy yummy pontiac G8 is basically a commodore clone
and i for one cant wait to see it here!

The only reason I went with the GM Stg 2 kit is to keep my factory warranty for when I sell the car. A 100k warranty is a great selling point for a car. If you don't intend on selling the car wile it has a warranty or don't car about the warranty then the best and cheapest way to power is a custom kit like other are saying. What ever you do I do recommend Nates products, they are superb. Whether you are going with the entire hub and pulley system or just smaller pulleys for the stg 2 hub you will be happy with his product.
