Stage 2 Belt Slip???
Stage 2 Belt Slip???
All I have is a 3-day-old GM Stage 2. I don't have a 2.8, 2.85, or even a 2.9 pulley, and yet, when I shift into 2nd and sometimes 3rd from redline (7K) I get what almost sounds like my clutch slipping. I've had some clutch slip before and if you graphed the RPM's they'd make a perfectly shaped hill and valley shape. This would drop and then make a few short step and plateau shapes before RPM climb became linear again which is what makes me think it's not the clutch.
Is this my clutch slipping or is it the belt. If it's the belt, why is it slipping with just the base S2 size pulley? Can it be fixed? Can/will GM/the Dealer do it?
