Stage 2 Ecu

Alright well this is what happened. I got a 06 ss/sc ecu with the stage 2 gm tune on it but totaled the car. My question is can i use that ecu in my new 07 and just throw in some stage 2 injectors or 42lb injectors and change out the pulley.

the 07 is a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT ECU ALONG WITH THE WIRING......... THEY ARE NOT INTERCHANGEABLE, also........ the stage 2 tune for the 07's are different than the stage 2 tune for the 05-06's

I don't know about the wiring, but the stage 2 reflash is the same for the 07s as the 05-06

you are oh so wrong.. if the ECU and the tune is the same why did i have to wait 3 month's to get the proper tune for my 07 IRL? cause i had to wait for GM to release the damn tune cause it wasnt the same. and the first day they released it i had it on my car. september of LAST YEAR.. trust me on this. i had the first 07 stage 2 LSJ.

you could swap an 05 for an 06, but my understanding is that the 07 pcm is slightly different, as well as the tune for the 07 stage 2 kit.
plus there are other factors to account for, like, does the old car have on star? does the new one?
does the old car have side impact air bags? does the new one? etc. etc.
i would just sell the 06 computer and use the money towards the stage 2 kit for your new car.

wow, this turned to an arguement fast, listen to saunders.....there's a reason..you have to order an 05-06 kit...or an 07 kit...reflash is different tune bc fuel map if different on 07's....wiring isn't different that I know of, except your 07' might have different features on the pcm than your 06' which might cause certain things in your car to not function...or not function right.........oh yeah, and you also can't reflash an 06 pcm with an 07 reprogram....tried it at work before (flashing an 06' vehicle with a reprogram that I accidently set up for an 07') won't work.....

...but if your q is simply to put the 06 stage 2 flashed pcm into your 07 with the stage 2 injectors and pulley, etc...it won't work bc the pcm won't communicate with the newer 07' modules.....

The data changes are the same, but the bitrate on the 05-06 ecu is 16bit and the bitrate is 32bit on the 07. To me that would say incompatible.
