so i got stage 2 today and went back to the dealership and set up a time to get it installed. This is the first kit they are installing and they quoted me at 200 bucks because the install time says 1.5-2 hours. Then i asked what if it takes you guys longer to do it because its your first one and they said it doesnt matter and it will be 200 bucks. Should i trust them or are they trying to screw me? Also they told me since i bought it from lattof chevrolet (cratee ngine depot) That if i have a problem with my car i need to take it to them because they arnt going to warrenty something that i got from a different dealership. WTF. I just said okay since this isnt my normal dealership but it is more of a convenient dealership because it is close to my house. So am i right that even though i bought it from lattof chevrolet and am having Ewald Chevrolet install it my car is still under warranty?

 

yes it should be covered at any dealership under warranty. They are full of ****.

 

If it's brand new (unopened) and from GM it's covered. Even if you bought it through another company. Doesn't matter.

$200 is extremely resonable! Take it.

 

I bought stage 2 from CED and my local dealer (which had previously never staged a ss) did it without any complaints.. They charged me 2.5 Hrs ($172.50 + tax)

 

ya im buying mine off CED and having local dealership install it. They told me that it is covered by GM for a year because it is GMPP. So they should cover the warranty no matter where you bought it from.

 

pretty much the same thing i did, for i didnt have the issue with them saying no warranty. but my dealer quoted me at 230....which was a great price from other dealers...but event hough they did it for that price, it literally took them i believe 6 hours straight labor to do it.
