I recently bought a stage two kit for my cobalt and went to get gm to reflash it, but I need a code number? Does anyone have a code?

 

Your kit should of came with a paper with the code in it inside the box.

The code is car specific and gm dealer cant use the same one on 2 different cars Im sure.
It is paid for as part of the stage 2 purchase.

If you didnt get it you will need someone with hp tuner to flash you with stage 2.

 

Yea. I but I bought it from a friend used. And ppm do that all the time. So how can a code not be used twice?

 

I think once a code gets used 1 time the computers do not allow dealerships to use it again...someone correct me if im wrong.

 

you are correct sir, i tried that before... ! get a custom tune if ur outta warranty, if you really want the gm tune sell ur pulley and belt and buy a stage 1 to 2 upgrade for like 300 $ and u'll get the code for the reflash with the pulley and belt...

 

not with the GM stuff.
