ok thanks
my dealership hasnt done one yet but a good mech is doing it so i wont order a new gasket

Stage 2
The dealership I took my car to, to have the stage 2 installed has no clue what they are doing. I dropped my car off wednesday morning to have my stage 2 that I waited almost 2 months for installed. Called them wednesday afternoon to see if I could pick the car up and they said they needed a gasket that did not come with the kit. They said they would get one and it would be done the next day. Called back this afternoon (Thursday) they still dont have the gasket and dont know when they are going to get one. I asked them what they needed a gasket for they said they had to take the supercharger off to change the pulley and had to have a new gasket to put it back on. Did some research on the forum here and it seems nobody else needed a gasket, so now I don't know what to think of them...

I just got word that my Stage 2 has finally arrived. So I call various dealers in the area for appointment dates and quotes for the install. One dealer told me that they couldn't do it and they would ship the install out to some aftermarket installers (sounds like no one at this dealer is boned up for this install). They also told me I would have to wait until 36,000 miles because the Stage 2 would void my warranty even though it's A GM part.
Now I know my SS/SC has a 5yr/60,000 mile POWERTRAIN warranty...
is going on here??? I may have to take it out of town just to get Stage 2 installed...

Same here. Had the 12 tonne press maxed out when it popped. Scratched the blower a bit and the original pulley is NFG. A few scratches but no biggie. Runs smoother and torque is better down low.

I just got quoted the same time for labor, but $415. I thought I read somewhere on here that it should only be $100 and an hour of labor...
