I am considering buying the stage 2 kit for my car. The problem is, is that I bought it used and i want to make sure the previous owner didnt already have one installed, so that i dont waste my money to find out it already has one. Is there anyway to tell whether or not my car already had stage 2? If so, how? Thank You

 

Does your pulley have bolts on it? If it has bolts (meaning the pulley is just not pressed on), then its stage 2... The GM bolts are blue, but other companies may have other colors and setups...

Also check your rev limiter (hit the gas till the engine stops reving) to see if its 6800 or 7000... 7000 is stage 1 (the stage tune with injectors)

 

Thanks It would seem that's right. I had to call GM with the vin number and they told me that the computer had been flashed with the stage 2 codes
