Stage 2 problem(i think)
After hearing that I don't know if I am making this out to be a big deal when its not. I had it installed at the dealer. Lol after every thing I have seen out of them if i asking them to dyno it I think they may ask me what a dyno is and how is that stopping me from getting boost.

I am at 1,200 elevation and I live in Odessa. I know the higher your elevation the more boost you are going to get. Yes they did install the new pulley or they just took off the bolts of the old one and painted them blue.
Unless they did something extra like porting your blower/intake mani to decrease the pressure, that's a bit messed up. Definitely take it to another dealer and make sure they did the Stage 2 install right.
btw, the higher the elevation the LESS boost you are going to see, the air is less dense, and the blower has to work harder to make pressure. humidity also makes a difference. stage 2 should be running at 15 psi though. something is def. not right.
maybe they accidentally put the old pully on again instead of the new one...which would be incredibly stupid
measure the one they gave you back after the install (assuming they gave you the old pulley) .. it should be around 3.5" which means they put the right one on

Higher the elevation the less dense the air is so its not getting as much air as lower elevations...I push 13 at 6100 and 15 at 3800 ft...stage 2, cai, plugs, stock exhaust
First of all... there aren't bolts on the stock pulley... so if the pulley you have now has bolts... then they changed your pulley.
Second... who did you buy your Stg 2 from? Did you buy it from a certified GM dealer? Or did you buy it from someone on eBay?
Third... it doesn't matter if you are tuned for it or not... a smaller pulley is gonna make more boost; plain and simple. You want an easy fix? Just order a 2.9" pulley from eBay and PUT IT ON YOURSELF! Its not very hard to do.
Other than that... if you hit 12psi before Stg 2 and are hitting 12psi WITH Stg 2 and you know for sure that your pulley is indeed smaller (I suggest holding the stock one up beside it JUST to make sure... if you got your Stg2 off of eBay, you might have gotten shafted... you never know.
If all else fails, GO TO ANOTHER DEALERSHIP. Or find an experienced friend on here that can look at your car for you.

Why don't someone run his VIN against that thing that tells you what service has been performed against his car.
That would tell us if he really got Stage 2 or not right? (Assuming they didn't put in the wrong info when they serviced it.)

I did buy it from GM not ebay and it does have 4 bolts on it so it is the smaller pulley. But they did not give me my old one back. So I am taking my car to another dealership just to make sure every thing was put on right. If that does not work I will be buying a new 2.9 pulley.
Yes they are the same .
I would make sure they didn't screw up the SC to intake manifold gasket when they removed and reinstalled the blower . You might have a boost leak , or the bypass valve needs to be adjusted . If you have a 7K redline then it was flashed correctly.

okay don't shoot me for saying this but i just had my stage 2 installed and flashed by gm.. car runs fine, is faster.. but no 7000rpm rev limiter.. apparently the latest update to the flash does not have a 7000 rpm rev limiter and leaves it at stock 6450... there is also another person on this board who just had it flashed with the same result..
This is according to my GM delearship after 2 days of them trying to figure out my problem as well as the people on the GM techline who confirmed the flash has recently been updated.. and i'm in canada but that shouldn't make a difference.
