stage 2 question/help?

i just bought my 06 cobalt ss/sc, pretty sure i was told it was stage 2 by the person who i bought it off of, which ive known for the past 7 years or so. basically today i find out from him that it has stage 2 injectors and pully yes, but it doesnt have the stage 2 computer. my question is what should i or or what would you do? he bought the car and it was idling funny so they took out the stage 2 computer and put a stock one back in. i know i want to at least get the stage 2 computer put back in, but i was wondering if there were any other options. i also have a magnaflow catback and injen CAI, i want to get header/dp sometime soon. do i get the stage 2 ecu then get a custom tune? or is there another computer that i should upgrade to?

thanks,
sorry like i said ive only had the car for 3 weeks and im still trying to learn about cobalts, im a former f-body owner and its just a little different.

Tim

Pretty sure the stage 2 is just a flash of the ecu not a total replacment.

no i still redline at 6.5k, so basically if i go to a private tuner ill have the stage 2 flash +tune for intake and exhaust?

edit: just got an idea, thinking i might be better off getting a base tune with hp tuners rather than buying stage 2 flash?

good thats what i was hoping, no point in wasting money on the flash if hp tuners will give me a better tune. thanks for your responses.

no "replacement 4 displacement" is true, but ive never had any forced induction before, got to say i dont mind the whine. beating a v8 with a motor less than half the size isnt so bad either.

That is true. That is what sold me on this car. An American car that can compete and beat in the sport compact segment is cool ****. ANd the superchrger is so American muscle I couldnt resist even if its FWD. Thats my ONLY complain bout this car, nice fill between corvette and the economy line. My fix since GM took NINE ******* YRS 2 BUILD MY CAMARO...
