Stage 2 Questions
Car goes to the dealer tommorrow at 8:30 for stage 2 install...i'm pumped, just a few questions which i couldn't find a clear answer by searching. I've noticed a few people with stage 2 run a step colder plugs...is it 100% necessary and if so where would i get them at? autozone or would i have to order them online? suppose i get these plugs, what would be the ideal gap to gap them at? last question, kinda drag racing question, at the drag strip when do i launch the same as i always have been? is there anything different i should do, or any kind of tips to help me touch the 13's would be helpful...thanks...

1. its not necessary to run the plugs, and your car will not run hotter, trust me i ran it for 3 months before i went to colder ones, it just runs smoother when you go colder
2. it seems to me that it was easier to launch with stage 2
3. invest in traction mods

ok well first of all if you buy gm stage 2 the upgrade is built around the stock plugs so don't change them unless you put a smaller pulley on unless you bought the aftermarket stage 2

hatrickstu summed it up pretty well. there are topics out there with tested gaps with colder plugs for stock, stage 2, and other instances. i dont have the time right now to find the topics tho.
