Exclamation Stage 2 warranty help

I have done research about the Stage 2 kits and im ready to buy one. I called a few dealerships around here and they quoted me 750 for the kit and 270 for install. They also said that it was only a 1 year warranty from GM. I am wondering if thats true? I will probably buy the kit from CED so is it warrantied if i buy it there?

$750 for the kit is full list price, so you can do much better on price. CED will have the best price on Stge 2 kits. $270 for install isn't too bad, though some people have gotten it done cheaper. But if a GM dealer installs it, it should be covered under the new vehicle warranty if you buy it from CED.

u can deff. find if for cheaper on CED

its warrantted for the life of your warranty acctually, go to a different dealer, they can say what they want but its gm that has the final say on how long the warranty is

I know i can find it cheaper on CED. I am just wondering about the warranty. What is the warranty on the kit if installed by a dealer?

make sure they give you the bits back for the pulley bolts....and not to put locktite on them, if you want to swap pulleys anyways

I wouldn't be too concerned about the warranty. I drove 4 hrs just to get a dealer who had done a few stage 2 kits, because I was worried about the warranty. 6 mts later I had an issue with the install not being done properly, turns out the dealership closed and there's no warranty on labour, only parts through GM. So now I do my own.

I guess its pretty much a hit or miss if they install it properly...they have a tech there who has a stage 2 in his car and has had no problems for ovber a year so hopefully they know what they are doing
