stage 2 warranty void??

i called up to get my stage 2 installed and he said you are aware that changing to a smaller pulley will void some parts of your warranty if anyhting happens...and i said but its gm kit and gm installed how? and he said we still warranty the parts but if something happens to your engine because of the more boost and blah blah the warranty will be voided....wtf!?!?!?!?!

haha yah i just went up to my dealer today to schedule to have my stage 2 kit installed and he assured me it would not void the warranty since they are installing it for me.

On a side note, he tried to charge me 420 dollars to have it installed, i told him i'm going to a different dealer, he said wait 1 minute, came back and said 200

Yea you get some **** head dealers that run you in the ground thats BS!!!

I just had my chipped rims replaced with 4 new ones not replainted ones
both tranny mounts
The entire steering rack replaced
then they had to put an updated clamp on the steering rack cuz it had a clunk when I turned right & left.
By the way the rack was a new updated version cuz if you hear a clunk entering a drive way & exiting it it's the steering rack and they only replace it if the owner complains!!!!!!!!!!!

but back to my rant.
this was all replaced under warrant & I have a cai, 2.8 pulley & Ingals TD & they said it was all good so just to show that some dealers are cool as hell & some are dicks!

My Dealer rocks

Go to huntington chevy man. They will take care of you and the only gm stage kit that voids your warranty is stage III

Big Bast in Seaford is good too...my dads good friend was the general manager over there for a long time...so thats another option...and in now way does it void the warranty...the guy i bought my SS/SC from is a Chevy mechanic and did it all himself, and told me everything about the warranty deal so dont worry at all about that either.

Paul, i talked to illmatic, and also called h-ton chevy, they wanted 500-550 for the install :-/

I got it installed for $410 they have to remove the supercharger and use a J tool to remove the pressed on pulley. I watched them do it and wow what a bitch! Crateenginedepot.com is the cheapest place to get the stage 2.
