the stage 3 hasnt been unlocked yet so theres no way to tune it so it would not work with that setup. and yes the stg.3 is set for 42#'ers

hp is 509 w/standard box.

seriously, get hpt. this is the only way you're going to be able to help the car.

no the stage 3 will not do 60's. only 42's

another ron tune i feel for ya i have the same tune .
Do not get hpt get a dyno tune.you will get a lot of help here when it comes to people saying buy it but very little when it comes to tuning and figuring out all the program does.
DYNO TUNE is the safest-fastest-any usually will save you money

Yea, I think the best way to go is to do the dyno tune...there is shop down my way that has tuned a couple cobalts before so they are familiar...they charge 350 flat rate for tuning

dyno tune vs street tune varies greatly. the ability to make changes per weather, altitude changes, or simple fuel changes.

it is a worth while investment.

remember that if you buy HPtuners, you'd have to KNOW how to tune.
Its not as easy as you really think it is.

it really does require some intel on ALL aspects in the car tuning world.

and if you mess up, you may really mess your system up...BIG time.

compare any lsj map to any Gen3 v8 map. you will see that the lsj stuff is easy to work with. many years. but only about 8 months with the lsj.

rofl. then thats why its easy cakes for you.

im talking about someone that wants to tune that thought HPtuners was going to be as i thought.

like you buy a program and press buttons to increase tourqe and unleash the "true" HP.

i've been studying how to tune for 2 months now and all the basics about it and it really is about customizing.
then what would you suggest for tuning the lsj

Agreed, it is easy.

How many other GM vehicles are MAF only for primary fueling outside of the alpha-n jbodies?

07+ gm cars.

the ls3 doesn't use ve.
most of the 07+ stuff actually doesn't now.

death. start small. like torque management small.

i also found out how to kill the throttle body on an 8.1 liter

goo!

All the tunes I have show them using VE/MAF blend at points below 4k rpm. Granted you can disable the VE portion at the expense of losing cruise control and a p0068 check but its nearly impossible (difficult as ****) to tune via hpt and completely impossible on the VVT and other like cars.

efilive can do it though.
