Stage 3 GM - Check Engine Light Came and Went

Last night I hit my 7K limiter and a few seconds later, the check engine LIGHTS came on. One small one to the right on my Gauge Cluster, and one Larger one on the left side of my cluster.

I rolled down the hill in Neutral, came to a stop at the light. I went to leave the light, and my car did not respond, no throttle response or nothing. It just sat and ran @ 900 rpms and wouldnt respond to me hitting the gas. I shut the car off and re-started it, still no response. I got my car off the road in a lot, walked home to get my tools, and other truck, and when I got back to my car 30 minutes later, It started right up and drove away.... ! But now, I only have One larger CK engine light on the left that is staying on.

Woke up this morning, and drove the Saturn to work, to have our dealership just scan the car for me, I parked the car, and came out 30 minutes later to pull it in the shop, and now, I have no check engine lights....

Has this happened to anyone before, or could anyone please be kind and tell me what they think is going on or happened.

Thank You

The error is a crank position sensor error in response to over-revving the engine. It happened to me and it made me sick that I may have messed something up. Once I reset the check engine light with a code scanner at the parts store, it started right up and it was all fine.

Thank you for the info Micro.

I just have never seen, Two Check engine lights before, and I thought it was weird that the lights re-set themselves? Does that happen?

Thanks - I checked out your youtube vids, watched the one on the Dyno. 260 WHP is pretty good for stock GM tuning. Glad I have a idea of where my car sits now.

You could still have it scanned and see if the codes are stored in there to maybe find out more.
