Question Stage 3 pulley with a stage 2 kit?

Can someone please tell me if a stage 3 pulley will work with my stage 2 kit? Does this pose any kind of risk to my engine? What COULD go wrong? Also, what would the change in boost and hp be ( I believe the st. 2 is 245hp with 15.5psi)
I did a search for this but couldn't find what I was looking for.

Thanks!

Why go stage 3 when you can go with a 2.9 or 2.85?

Works perfectly, not much of a difference

Stg 2 pulley = 3.06"
Stg 3 pulley = 2.99"

nates 2.9 is the way to go adds alot from the stage 2 pulley wont have any problems will bump you from 15 to 16.5 and will put you in the correct tune because the stage 2 is rich

I'm getting the Stage 2 kit & thinking about getting Nate's 2.9" pulley....

Do you "have to" run colder plugs with the Stage tune & a 2.9" pulley???

It's actually quite easy...

1. Loosen bolts holding stage 2 pulley on
2. Loosen belt using 15mm open end wrench on tensioner
3. Remove belt from supercharger pulley
4. Remove bolts and stage 2 pulley
5. Put new pulley on stage 2 hub and start/snug bolts
6. Put belt back on supercharger pulley
7. Tighten bolts
8. Enjoy added boost!

Hope this helps!
Nate

It holds the pulley so it doesnt slip . Sometimes when they have locktite on them , the bolts will be so hard to get off that the pulley will spin even when the serpentine belt has full tension on it . Thats where the strap wrench will be a life saver.

OHHHHH now I get it & it makes sense.....to hold the pulley when you're undoing the bolts!!!!
